Collectible Minifigures Series 3 Review

Similar to previous series, the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 3 featured individual minifigures sold in blind bags, encouraging collectors to trade with others to complete their sets. This series continued the tradition of offering a wide variety of characters and accessories, enhancing the creative possibilities for LEGO enthusiasts.

No extras anymore

Noticeable in this series is that the bags only contain the parts that the minifigure needs. No extras anymore. In the two previous series, for example, there was a second sword included, or a second trophy. So unfortunately, there are no extra parts anymore.

Highly Rated Minifigures

The popularity of minifigures can vary among collectors and fans, but some minifigures from Series 3 were well-received:

  • Space Alien: The Space Alien, with its unique head and ray gun accessory, was a favorite among space-themed LEGO enthusiasts.
  • Gorilla Suit Guy: This playful minifigure donned a gorilla costume, complete with a banana accessory, adding humor and versatility to LEGO scenes.
  • Hula Dancer: The Hula Dancer, dressed in a grass skirt and holding maracas, brought a touch of Hawaiian charm to LEGO collections.
  • Elf: The Elf minifigure, with its pointed ears and bow, was a hit among fantasy and medieval enthusiasts.

Less Favorable Minifigures

As with any collectible series, certain minifigures in Series 3 might be considered less appealing by some collectors, often due to personal taste or the absence of unique or highly versatile accessories.

Rarity of Series 3 Minifigures

The rarity of minifigures in Series 3 varied, with some being more common and others less so. Minifigures with specialized accessories or unique designs were typically more sought after by collectors. Over time, the rarity of specific figures could change as more sets were sold and opened.
